Buddha, sitting in Japanese style, approx. 14 cm high, cast from lava stone. This special miniature Buddha from our Yogya collection is made of concrete and earthenware in the so-called dry casting process. This process uses very little liquid, which gives the figure its characteristic rough surface, similar to that of a natural stone. After the usual steps of the casting process, the contours of the sculpture are reworked and refined by hand. The Buddha figure has both hands resting loosely in the lap, one hand resting on the other, the palms facing upwards: This hand posture symbolises meditation (Dhyana mudra). All cast stone sculptures are absolutely frost-proof and can be placed outdoors all year round.
